What works
What makes a training video work?
A good corporate training video teaches one task, rule or process so that people can repeat it correctly afterwards. It shows the real work in the real place, keeps each video short, and makes the key steps visible on screen, not just spoken.
Unlike classroom sessions, a training video delivers the same standard to every employee, every shift and every new joiner.
- i.One topic per video
- ii.Short modules, not long lectures
- iii.Real tasks in your real workplace
- iv.Key steps shown on screen
Training video types
Common types of corporate training video.
Most training needs fall into one of six groups. Each one suits a different format and length.
- i.
Induction and onboarding
A welcome from leadership, how the company works and what new joiners need in their first weeks.
- ii.
Health and safety
Site rules, PPE, emergency procedures and safe ways of working, demonstrated rather than described.
- iii.
Standard operating procedures
Step-by-step processes for equipment, production, warehouse or clinical tasks.
- iv.
Software and systems
Screen-based walkthroughs of the tools your team uses every day.
- v.
Compliance and policy
Rules and updates everyone must know, delivered consistently across teams.
- vi.
Customer service skills
Role-played scenarios that show what good service looks and sounds like.
Format guide
The right format and length for each topic.
Shorter is almost always better. If a topic needs more than a few minutes, split it into parts that can be watched and repeated separately.
| Topic | Format that fits | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| Company induction | Leadership welcome plus a workplace walkthrough | 5–8 min, split into parts |
| Safety procedure | Filmed demonstration with on-screen steps | 2–4 min |
| Equipment or process SOP | Close-up demonstration by an experienced operator | 3–5 min per task |
| Software process | Screen recording with narration | 2–5 min per task |
| Policy update | Short presenter-led video | 1–3 min |
| Customer service | Role-play scenarios | 3–5 min per scenario |
UAE teams
Training for multilingual teams.
Many UAE workplaces have teams who speak several first languages. Training that relies only on spoken English can leave people guessing at the most important steps.
Planning languages before the shoot is cheaper than fixing them afterwards. We can add Arabic subtitles or a second voice-over; tell us at the brief stage which languages your team needs.
- i.Show each step, do not only say it
- ii.Use simple words in voice-over
- iii.Put key steps in on-screen text
- iv.Plan subtitle languages upfront
Before the shoot
What to prepare for a training video.
Training videos are only as accurate as the information behind them. These five things make the script right first time.
- i.
A subject expert
The person who knows the task best, available to check the script and be on site during filming.
- ii.
Your current documents
SOPs, manuals, checklists or slides the training is based on.
- iii.
The learner
Who will watch, their role, their language and what they already know.
- iv.
Site access
When areas can be filmed, and any PPE, induction or permit rules for visitors.
- v.
Where it will be watched
Your HR system, an internal portal, shared screens or phones on site.

Cost
What affects the cost of training videos.
Training is often produced as a series, so the cost depends on how many modules can be filmed in the same days and locations. Planning the whole series together usually costs less than ordering videos one at a time.
Send your brief and we will quote a fixed price for the agreed scope before any work starts.
- i.Number of modules in the series
- ii.Shoot days and locations
- iii.Filmed, screen-based or mixed
- iv.On-screen text and graphics
- v.Subtitle and voice-over languages
- vi.Script writing and review rounds
FAQs
Corporate training video FAQs.
i.How long should a corporate training video be?
Most work best at 2 to 5 minutes, covering one task or topic each. Longer subjects such as inductions are easier to follow when split into several short parts.
ii.Is one long training video or several short ones better?
Several short ones. They are easier to watch, easier to find again when someone needs a refresher, and only the affected video needs changing when a process is updated.
iii.Can our own staff appear in the training videos?
Yes, and they are often the best choice. An experienced employee doing the real task is more credible to colleagues than an actor.
iv.How do we keep training videos up to date?
Make one video per task and avoid filming details that change often, such as prices or names on screen. When a process changes, only that module needs replacing.
v.Can you film training videos at our site or factory?
Yes. We film at your office, site or factory, and the shoot schedule is agreed with you in advance. Tell us about any PPE, induction or permit rules at the brief stage.
vi.Can you add Arabic subtitles or voice-over?
Yes. We can add Arabic subtitles or a second voice-over so one production works for both audiences. Tell us at the brief stage so we plan for it.
