What it is

What is a safety induction video?

A safety induction video is a short film shown to every new worker, subcontractor or visitor before they start on a site. It explains the site’s hazards, rules, emergency procedures and who to report to, in the same words every time. Together with shorter safety training videos on single topics, it is the core of most workplace safety video programmes.

Video replaces a briefing that changes with whoever gives it. It also gives your HSE team a consistent, repeatable record of what every person was shown.

  • i.Same message for every new starter
  • ii.Shows real hazards on your real site
  • iii.Works across languages
  • iv.Saves supervisor time every week

Structure

What a site induction video covers.

Most inductions run 8 to 15 minutes and follow a similar order. Your HSE team signs off the content; we turn it into a film people actually watch to the end.

Video types

Safety videos companies ask for most.

An induction is usually the first. Shorter topic videos follow, so supervisors can run a toolbox talk with a two-minute film instead of reading from a sheet.

  • i.

    Site induction

The full introduction for new workers and subcontractors, filmed on your own site.

    8–15 min
  • ii.

    Visitor induction

A shorter version for clients, consultants and delivery drivers.

    3–5 min
  • iii.

    Toolbox talks

One topic per video: ladders, lifting, heat stress, housekeeping. Easy to show at the morning briefing.

    2–4 min each
  • iv.

    Procedure videos

Step-by-step videos for permits, lockout, equipment checks and other tasks that must be done the same way every time.

    Training videos
  • v.

    Incident learning

A lessons-learned video after an incident, using graphics to show what happened without restaging anything dangerous.

    3–6 min
  • vi.

    Safety campaign

Short clips for screens and messaging groups during safety weeks and campaigns.

    30–60 sec

Multilingual workforce

One video, every language on your site.

UAE sites bring together workers from many countries. A safety message only works if it is understood, so language versions should be planned before filming, not added at the end.

We keep spoken explanation short and show as much as possible on screen, which makes every language version easier. Arabic and English are standard; tell us the other languages your site teams need and we will plan for them.

  • i.Show, do not just tell
  • ii.Short sentences for easy subtitling
  • iii.Icons and colour codes for key rules
  • iv.Separate voice-over per language

Cost

What affects the cost of a safety video.

An induction filmed in one day on one site is a different job from a series of toolbox talks covering several sites. The number of language versions often matters as much as the length.

Send your topics and languages and we will quote a fixed price for the agreed scope before any work starts.

  • i.Length and number of videos
  • ii.Sites and shoot days
  • iii.Graphics for hazards you cannot film
  • iv.Number of language versions
  • v.Voice-over or subtitles per language

FAQs

Safety and HSE video FAQs.

i.How long should a safety induction video be?

Usually 8 to 15 minutes for a full site induction, and 3 to 5 minutes for a visitor version. Topic videos for toolbox talks work best at 2 to 4 minutes.

ii.Who writes the safety content?

Your HSE team owns the content and signs it off. We help structure it, write it in plain language and turn it into a script and shot list before filming.

iii.Should a safety video be filmed or animated?

Filming on your own site is best for layouts, PPE and procedures, because workers recognise the place. Graphics work better for hazards that cannot be filmed safely, such as falls or gas leaks. Many inductions use both.

iv.Can you make the video in several languages?

Yes. Arabic and English versions are standard. Tell us the other languages your workforce needs at the brief stage so we plan the script and voice-overs for them.

v.How often should an induction video be updated?

Whenever the site layout, main hazards or procedures change, and at least when a project moves into a new phase. Filming in short sections makes it easier to update one part without remaking the whole video.
