What it is
What is oil and gas video production?
Oil and gas video production is making films for operators, EPC contractors, service companies and equipment suppliers in the energy sector. The work is usually one of three jobs: proving capability to win contracts, explaining technical products and processes, or training people to work safely.
Because facilities are restricted and some areas cannot be filmed at all, most energy videos combine footage shot under permit with graphics that show what happens inside pipes, wells and equipment.
- i.Capability for vendor registration
- ii.Technical products explained simply
- iii.Safety content for remote sites
- iv.Content for ADIPEC and energy shows
Who it is for
Different companies, different videos.
Energy companies sell to engineers and procurement teams who want facts, not slogans. This is where each kind of company usually starts.
| Your company | Video that fits first | Main viewer |
|---|---|---|
| EPC or engineering contractor | Capability film with project references | Operator procurement and tender panels |
| Oilfield services company | Service explainer with field footage and graphics | Operations and engineering managers |
| Equipment manufacturer or distributor | Product and machine demo | Technical buyers and distributors |
| Operator or facility owner | Site induction and procedure videos | Staff, contractors and visitors |
| Energy transition or solar company | Project film and company profile (see energy video production) | Investors, partners and government buyers |
Video types
Energy-sector videos we produce.
Most projects mix filmed footage with graphics, because the most important parts of the work are often underground, inside equipment or in zones where cameras are not allowed.

Restricted sites
Filming on energy facilities.
Energy sites have the strictest rules of any shoot. Camera use, phones and even some equipment may be limited in certain zones. We plan the shoot with your HSE and security teams, film what is permitted, and cover the rest with graphics built from your engineering drawings.
Your team approves the shot list in advance and reviews every edit before release.
- i.Permits and camera approvals first
- ii.Crew induction and full PPE
- iii.Escort and zone rules on the day
- iv.Graphics for restricted areas
- v.Technical review before release
Cost
What affects the cost of an energy-sector video.
Remote locations, permit lead times and the amount of graphics needed drive cost more than video length. An explainer built mostly from graphics costs differently from a film shot across several facilities.
Send your brief and we will quote a fixed price for the agreed scope before any work starts. Our guide to video production cost in Dubai explains the other factors.
- i.Site locations and travel
- ii.Shoot days and access windows
- iii.Amount of technical graphics
- iv.Technical review rounds
- v.Arabic and English versions
FAQs
Oil and gas video FAQs.
i.Can you film inside an oil and gas facility?
Where the operator allows it. Camera permits, crew inductions and zone rules are agreed with your HSE and security teams before the shoot. Areas that cannot be filmed are shown with graphics instead.
ii.How do you show processes that cannot be filmed?
With graphics and motion design based on your drawings and data, combined with real footage from the parts of the site that can be filmed.
iii.Who checks the technical accuracy?
Your engineers. We build a review round into the schedule so a technical lead approves the script and the final edit.
iv.Can you film our stand at ADIPEC?
Yes. We film stand content, product demos and interviews at energy shows in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Plan it with your main video and one booking can cover both.
v.Do you produce Arabic versions?
Yes. We can add Arabic subtitles or a second voice-over so one production works for both audiences.
