What it is
What is interview videography?
Interview videography is the filming of people speaking to camera, or to an interviewer just off camera, in a way that looks and sounds professional. It covers the camera angles, lighting, microphones, location and direction, so the person on screen comes across as clear, confident and credible.
As a form of corporate interview video production, businesses use it for leadership messages, expert content, internal communications, PR and documentary-style films. One well-run interview session can produce a full film and a month of short clips.

Interview types
Corporate interview videos we film.
Each type needs a different setup, tone and edit. Tell us which one you need and we plan the shoot around it.
- i.
CEO interview videos and leadership messages
Strategy updates, annual messages, launches and announcements from your senior team, for staff, investors or the public.
- ii.
Expert and thought-leadership
Your specialists explaining a topic, trend or product. Ideal for LinkedIn, your website and sales content.
- iii.
Internal communications
Town hall messages, onboarding welcomes, policy changes and team updates that people actually watch.
- iv.
PR and media interviews
Broadcast-ready interviews for press kits, news features and media partners.
- v.
Documentary-style interviews
Longer, story-led interviews that carry a company history, project film or anniversary documentary.
- vi.
Podcast-style conversations
Two or more people in conversation, filmed on multiple cameras for YouTube, LinkedIn and podcast platforms.
Camera setups
One, two or three cameras.
The number of cameras changes how the final film looks and how easy it is to edit. Here is how we usually match the setup to the job.
| Setup | Best for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Single camera | Short messages, internal updates, quick social clips | A clean, simple frame. Fastest to film and edit. |
| Two cameras | Leadership films, expert interviews, PR | A wide and a close-up angle, so edits look smooth and the film feels more polished. |
| Three cameras | Podcast-style conversations, panels, documentaries | An angle on each speaker plus a wide shot, so every reaction is covered. |
On the day
What makes an interview look professional.
Most viewers forgive a plain background. They do not forgive bad sound, harsh shadows or a nervous speaker. These are the things we control on every shoot.
- i.Lavalier and boom mics, monitored live
- ii.Soft key light that flatters every face
- iii.A quiet room, checked before filming
- iv.Backgrounds that show your brand or space
- v.Eye-line set for interviewer or direct to camera
- vi.Teleprompter when a script must be exact
On camera
Helping non-presenters look natural.
Most people we film are not used to cameras. A good interview depends as much on how the speaker feels as on the equipment.
- i.
Questions shared in advance
Speakers see the topics beforehand, so they can think about their answers without memorising a script.
- ii.
A short warm-up
We start with easy questions and a few minutes of conversation before the answers that matter.
- iii.
Interviewer off camera
Talking to a person feels more natural than talking to a lens, and it shows in the footage.
- iv.
Time for retakes
We plan enough time for second tries, so nobody feels rushed and the best answer makes the edit.
Where it works
One session, many uses.
We film landscape and vertical framing on the same day, so one interview can cover all of these.
- i.
Website
Leadership and expert videos on your about, service and careers pages.
- ii.
LinkedIn
Short, captioned clips from your leaders and experts, posted over several weeks.
- iii.
Company films
Interviews often form the backbone of a company profile video.
- iv.
Internal channels
Intranet, email and town hall screens for staff updates and onboarding.
- v.
Events and conferences
Speaker interviews filmed on site at summits and conferences. See conference videography.
- vi.
Press and investors
Ready-made interview footage for media partners and investor updates.
Cost
What affects the cost of interview videography.
A single CEO message filmed in one room is a much smaller job than a series of interviews across several offices. The scope below decides the crew, the time on site and the edit.
Send your brief and we will quote a fixed price for the agreed scope before any work starts.
- i.Number of people interviewed
- ii.Number of cameras
- iii.Number of locations
- iv.Teleprompter or interviewer needed
- v.Arabic subtitles or translation
- vi.Number of edited films and clips
FAQs
Interview videography FAQs.
i.How long does an interview shoot take?
Setting up cameras, lights and sound usually takes about an hour. Each interview then takes 20 to 45 minutes depending on the number of questions. Several people can be filmed in one half or full day in the same setup.
ii.Can you film interviews at our office?
Yes. Most interviews are filmed on site. We need a reasonably quiet room and about an hour to set up. We can also recommend a studio if your office is too noisy or busy.
iii.Do you write the interview questions?
Yes, we can. We draft questions around the goal of the film, agree them with you, and share them with the speakers in advance. We can also bring an interviewer to lead the conversation on the day.
iv.Should the speaker look at the camera or the interviewer?
Looking slightly off camera at an interviewer feels like a natural conversation and suits most interviews. Looking straight into the lens suits direct messages, such as a CEO address. We set the eye-line based on the type of film.
v.Do we need a teleprompter?
Only when the wording must be exact, such as an official announcement. For most interviews, natural answers to questions look and sound more believable than reading.
vi.Can you add Arabic subtitles?
Yes. We can add Arabic or English subtitles, so one interview works for both audiences. Let us know at the brief stage.
