Where we film

Filming vessels and shipyards.

Naval projects are filmed across shipyards, harbours and shows. Each location has its own owner and permissions, which we plan around with you.

Before filming

Four things to plan before a naval shoot.

Water, light and access all affect a maritime shoot.

  • i.

    Port and harbour permissions

Filming in ports and harbours needs permission from the vessel owner and the port. You arrange access; we film within it.

  • ii.

    Restricted areas on board

Your team marks which spaces can be filmed. The rest stays off camera.

  • iii.

    Sun and reflections

Water and grey hulls reflect strong light, so we film early or late in the day.

  • iv.

    Sea and weather

Wind and swell affect footage from the water, so we keep a back-up date in the plan.
